Sacmi Impianti Argentina celebrates 25 years

Founded in 1980 at Buenos Aires, Sacmi Impianti Argentina is celebrating 25 years of business within the Imola-based Sacmi Group. Following the years 1975-1980 - period in which the company was run by the founding partners Miguel Lamas, Gualtiero Braun and Rodolfo Braun - 70% of the shares owned by Braun were purchased by Sacmi Impianti of Milan (Lamas held on to 30%). Since 1975 Sacmi Argentina has been actively and successfully involved in the start-up of major ceramic manufacturers such as Canteras Cerro Negro, Ceramica Zanon-Ceramicas Cordillera (Chile)-Ceramica Scop-Ceramicas Sassuolo, Ilva, Ceramica Lourdes, Ceramica Cortines, San Lorenzo Peru Cerabol (Bolivia) and several companies in the sanitaryware industry.
Over the last quarter of a century this Italo-Argentine company has developed its technical-commercial consultancy side considerably and now represents the Sacmi Group throughout Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. It is also a representative for Cimes, a specialist in equipment for the production and processing of glazes, and provides logistic support for Group companies operating on the Latin American beverage and packaging markets.
