Solutions specifically designed and built for the Chinese market, with all the quality assurance one expects from Sacmi: these will be showcased at Ceramics China 2018, the country's most important fair that, like every year, will be exhibiting top class ceramic-making technology at the Canton Fair Complex of Guanggzhou (30 May - 2 June 2018).
Inside the collective Acimac area (hall 3.1, stand C228), Sacmi will, during this 4-day event, present a complete, fully functional sorting line. This new “Global Sorting Line” - a Sacmi Nanhai product - provides total process automation, smooth management, and outstanding linearity and modularity of the various phases. Moreover, the sorting and packaging line has been equipped with an innovative robot to optimise palletization tasks: the latter can keep pace with the high output rates of the Global line even with the large tile sizes typical of Chinese ceramic manufacturing. The line also allows precise sorting of a wide variety of quality bands and hues. Lastly, tray packaging includes a device for the automatic insertion of corner guards. The Global line allows total end-of-line control from both a “hard” (tile handling, packaging and palletization) and “soft” viewpoint via the application of smart sorting solutions, characterised by maximum precision and reliability.
Sacmi, well established on the Chinese market thanks to the direct manufacture of presses with a high technological content, will, at the fair, also display a comprehensive array of large tiles made with high-tonnage Sacmi presses. The PHC range presses have been, again, designed and developed for the Chinese market at Sacmi Nanhai; to ensure maximum added value for local industry, a cutting-edge assistance and monitoring facility for this press type has also been set up.
The fair will also be attended by specialised personnel from the Sanitaryware and Tableware business, a sector where Sacmi is achieving excellent results in major projects with leading Chinese firms.
The fair also has an extensive conference programme. Sacmi will take part by giving a talk on “Sacmi 4.0 – The factory of the future”; it reflects a 2017 that saw good market feedback from advanced Sacmi-developed integrated monitoring and diagnostics systems, the most notable being the H.E.R.E. (Human Expertise for Reactive Engineering) platform, successfully installed by key players in the global ceramic industry. The Sacmi talk is scheduled for Friday 1 June, the third day of the fair, from 10 to 11.30 a.m. at the Pazhou Exhibition Hall (A Zone, Baiyun Meeting Room).
As in previous editions, visitors can, throughout the fair, book guided tours of the Nanhai facility (these start every day at 1 p.m. directly from the Sacmi stand); this includes a 1-hour workshop where current and potential customers can get a closer look at both the Sacmi PHC range (more specifically, the PHC5000, connected up to the DCC 1750 linear loading system, and the PHC7500) and Sacmi firing solutions, characterised by maximum energy efficiency as per the strictest international standards. To close, there will be a guided tour of the production plant to give participants a close look at the manufacturing and service work that takes place in Sacmi Nanhai, now a pivotal facility for Sacmi on the strategic Chinese market.
