A model plant with a machine pool on a par with the best in Europe: this is the Sacmi sanitaryware line that has been up and running since August 2016 at CDK Integrated Industries Limited, a Nigerian company that specializes in the production of high quality Ceramic products.
The heart of this Sacmi-supplied line (designed to produce at least 200,000 pieces a year, with an already-achieved peak of 265,000 pieces) consists of two BMP 280pressure casting machines, thanks to which CDK Integrated Industries is currently the only company in West & Central Africa to use such cutting-edge sanitaryware moulding technology. Moreover, Sacmi has supplied the entire body preparation department (with Vitreous China technology) and, downstream, the robotized glazing line. The Gaiotto-developed 8-axis GA2000 robot, in fact, plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality glaze application and consistency.
Also deserving of a special mention is the 105 m³ shuttle kiln, produced by German firm RIEDHAMMER, the Sacmi Group Company that specializes in high-tech kilns. With Sacmi at their side, CDK Integrated Industries produces about 45 Sanitary items: these include WCs (floor-mounted, back to wall, and wall-mounted), bidets, standard washbasins and designer washbasins.
These investment decision highlight CDK Integrated Industries’ determination to implement automated technology and thus ensure customers get consistently high quality products comparable to those produced anywhere in the world. For Sacmi, this latest order underscores its leading role as a worldwide strategic partner and provider of complete sanitaryware manufacturing solutions.
