Installation and start-up successfully completed in the midst of the Covid emergency thanks to efficient teamwork between the two companies. CE.SI., Ceramica di Sirone, has again joined forces with
SACMI to raise output capacity: the company, in fact, has now purchased a
new high performance energy-saving FMS kiln, housed in a
new facility (a
warehouse with adjoining laboratory). This ambitious project was
completed in the midst of the Covid emergency thanks to smooth teamwork between SACMI personnel and the technicians and managers of this Lecco-based company, a key player in the
high quality Italian ceramic industry for over sixty years.
The new line – which
takes the number of installed SACMI kilns to three – will produce the
CE.SI. core products,
plain colour small-medium glazed tiles, a firm favourite with architects and designers worldwide. Alongside the new kiln, CE.SI. has also invested in
latest-generation storage lines and purchased a complete
 LGV-assisted system from
SACMI-Nuova Sima, a solution that, in practice, doubles the capacity of the
automation systems that SACMI supplied at the end of 2017.
"As we move through these difficult times we've decided to look forward, invest in the future and
place our confidence in our products - and the best possible technology to make them", observes
Mario Fumagalli, speaking on behalf of the company owners. "Special thanks go to our personnel", points out Fumagalli, "who showed dedication to the project despite this being such a difficult time for Italy, especially in our region. This project reinforces our concept of the ‘
4.0 factory’ and will allow us to respond better to the needs of customers and the market".
