The first key aspect of the supplied system is high-performance process control, with dual high-definition cameras ensuring accurate container orientation.
Six PSL (pressure sensitive labelling) stations apply the main label on the back of the bottle, while a second station performs neck labelling. As far as the container body is concerned, quality is guaranteed thanks to the tilted labelling station that allows the label to be applied directly onto the container debossing.
Thanks to universal grippers and servo-driven feed screws, the system is totally size-independent. Moreover, there are also interlocking mechanisms specifically designed for the spirits market to wrap the bottle after application of the tax stamp.
The latter is applied with the SACMI platform, using both cold glue and a second spray application of hot glue, guaranteeing excellent adhesion to the bottle thanks also to the mechanical stamp stretching system.
Then the sleeve label is applied to the bottle neck via a fully motorized heat-shrinking station to guarantee zero downtime during size changeovers.
The entire process is controlled in real time with the aid of high-definition cameras and dedicated software (SACMI LVS, labelling vision system) that monitor all the production on the line.
